Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  (443) 383-3434 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Beauty and Co. offers a variety of services. In permanent makeup, our focus is on Microshading, including techniques like Ombré Brows | Powder  brows, which are suitable for all skin types and minimally damaging to the skin. We will be adding new services soon. If you have any questions, please call or email us.

Ombre brows is a technique that creates a gradual shading effect on the eyebrows, giving them a soft and natural look. Microshading, also known as Powdered/Ombre Brows, is a semi-permanent technique that gives eyebrows a soft, shaded look similar to brow pencil makeup. This technique has significantly evolved over the past few years, allowing skilled artists to create a range of looks from a natural soft shade to a bolder "makeup" effect. It's suitable for all skin types and can last between 1-5 years.

Immediately after your initial appointment, your eyebrows will appear bolder and wider. Expect about 10-30% of the color to fade within 2-3 weeks after the procedure. A touch-up session is typically needed 6-12 weeks later.

For aftercare, it's crucial to keep the area dry for up to 14 days, so it's important to schedule your appointment with this in mind.

Ombre brows can last between 1 to 3 years. Their longevity is influenced by various factors including lifestyle, skin type, sun exposure, and health condition. To keep the pigment color vibrant, retouches are recommended every 12 to 24 months.

  • The booking fee is non-refundable.
  • If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours before your original appointment. If rescheduled later, your deposit will be forfeited.

EYEBROWS

  • On the evening of the procedure, gently wash your eyebrows with a gel cleanser or antibacterial soap.
  • Starting the day after the procedure, apply a pea-sized amount of the provided aftercare product once daily using a Q-tip. Avoid touching your eyebrows and try to sleep on your back for 14 days.
  • From days 4 to 7, your eyebrows may look flaky and patchy. Do not pick, rub, or scratch them!
  • Keep your brows dry and avoid getting them sweaty or steamy (from workouts, showers, saunas, or hot baths) for 14 days.
  • Do not apply makeup or skincare products to the treated area for 14 days.
  • The longevity of the pigment also depends on your lifestyle. Factors such as direct sunlight, laser treatments, Retin-A, vitamin C, hydroquinone, chemical peels, and excessive sweating can cause the pigment to fade prematurely.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Presence of major scarring or keloids.
  • Pregnancy or nursing.
  • Currently taking antibiotics, which can result in poor pigment retention.
  • Allergy to lidocaine, unless willing to undergo the procedure without numbing.
  • Allergy to pigments, though a test patch can be performed 20 minutes prior to the procedure.
  • Use of Accutane within the past year, or retinol or Retin-A within the past 4 weeks.
  • Certain medications: discuss these with the professional and inform your Permanent Makeup (PMU) artist.
  • Undergoing chemotherapy: consult with your doctor beforehand.
  • Epilepsy.
  • Severe autoimmune diseases.
  • Anemia, which may affect pigment retention.

Pain level is minimal. The pigment in permanent makeup is implanted more superficially than in body tattoos, which is why it fades faster. Topical anesthesia can be applied before, during, and after the procedure if necessary.

It's advisable to avoid scheduling your appointment a few days before or during your menstrual cycle, as sensitivity may be heightened.

Do not take painkillers before your appointment, as they can negatively affect the results!
